NVC from the Inside Out

Four Days of Rocky Mountain Autumn Four Days of NVC Immersion

Beyond the basics: A journey into the heart of NVC. Presented by The Rocky Mountain Center For Compassionate Communication September 30th to October 3rd

When we learn to communicate compassionately with ourselves, we begin to hear the motivations and love behind our own self criticisms and destructive behaviors: we begin to make peace with who we are, transforming our relationships with family, friends, colleagues, and adversaries. Peace begins at the center of our being. Spreading outward, it heals our world. Join us for an intensive NVC exploration in the beauty and splendor of the Rocky Mountains.

Explore the beauty and living energy of needs.

Expand your NVC skills and consciousness.

Practice using NVC as a portal to Presence.

Learn to re-write the stories you tell yourself.

Befriend your Jackal.
Deepen your intimate partnerships.

Use body movement to anchor NVC principles.

Respond with compassion to transform habitual behaviors that lead to disconnection so that you can live more compassionately with others.

Create a quality of connection with yourself that dissolves barriers and supports finding solutions that work for everyone.

Develop communication skills and consciousness that will help you communicate hard to hear messages in ways that build connection, trust, and community instead of stimulating defensiveness and disconnection from others.

Increase your sense of well-being, peace of mind, and happiness.

Facilitator

David Shindoll M.A. is a certified trainer with the Center for Nonviolent Communication and co-founder of the Rocky Mountain Center for Compassionate Communication. As a teacher trainer at the Montessori Education Center of the Rockies, David has used the NVC model to support teachers in having power with children instead of power over them. In addition to his work in education, David also does couples/family mediation, communication coaching, restorative justice work, and facilitates a weekly NVC practice group. David has presented NVC at national conferences for educators and mediators. Visit David’s website at www.compassionate-living.com.

Free NVC Practice Group Every Thursday

Lokah Samastah Sukhino Bhavantu

May all Beings be blessed and free. May my thoughts, words, and actions contribute to this occurring.

If you are interested in learning more about Nonviolent Communication (NVC) I invite you to come to our free weekly practice group held every Thursday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at St. Peter and St. Mary’s Church at 126 W. 2nd Ave. (corner of 2nd and Acoma) in Denver. All skill levels are welcome!

Our intention for this group is to practice NVC consciousness and skills in order to learn how to stay connected to what is alive in ourselves and others moment to moment. Through our practice of NVC we wish to use our thoughts, words, actions and resources to create life-serving systems within ourselves, in our relationships with others, and ultimately to transform domination systems that lead to disconnection and violence into structures that support life. What to expect:

  • A supportive and safe community where you can work through conflicts in your life using the consciousness and skills of Nonviolent Communication.
  • A variety of activities to practice NVC consciousness and skills such as videos, skills practice, practice in giving and receiving empathy, key differentiations and role plays.

Please give me a call at 303 399-5170 or e-mail me at dshindoll@hotmail.com if you would like more information about the NVC practice group.
